Craving a pop of yellow this summer. It's the most cheerful color and complements freshly sliced watermelon perfectly. Shop similar dresses to the one she's wearing below...

The perfect summer look includes a cute, flowy top with distressed jeans and a fun hat. It's understated, casual but cute enough for an impromptu dinner with friends, and most importantly, comfortable.

The celebrations continue... enjoy the final weekend of what has felt like an extended vacation!
July 02, 2018
With the 4th falling in the middle of the week, it seems like the past week has been a vacation. Nobody seems to be working too hard. Let's take the time to enjoy a slower week and spend as much time as possible with friends and family.

Can we all rejoice that wide leg pants are not only the best thing ever, but they're now the biggest trend of the summer? Can I get an amen?
I found this cute pair
at Nordstrom and have lived in them since I purchased them. They're super lightweight and pair well with heels or flats. Are they cropped? They look that way on the model, but with my short legs, they hit at about my ankle (I'm 5'7" for reference). I'm embracing the in between length...

There's been an emerging trend this season of really sculptural pieces, especially in accessories. They almost look like art with their modern shapes, clean lines, and interesting textures. At times, I've looked at pieces and had to ask exactly what it is. Cult Gaia is championing this trend with their super artistic handbags (especially this one
) and this belt
... I'm trying to figure out what outfit I can wear it with. Gray Matters is another brand hitting the market with graphic pieces, like these mules

Counting down the hours until the weekend... who's with me?
June 04, 2018
The temperatures are blazing hot and the humidity certainly feels like it's at an all-time high. It can only mean one thing... summer is here! While we're still a few weeks away from the official first day of summer, it's time to get the bathing suits out, transition to a summer bag, and make sunscreen your first priority each morning (this SPF from Juice Beauty
is my new favorite). I put together an edited list of pieces you need to get through the next few months that includes a transitional tote, a one-piece bathing suit (thank heavens they're becoming the trend and not just the comfy option), a statement earring, an easy white dress and two shoe options: a fringy flat and a go-to platform.
One thing I tried to keep in mind when gathering my summer selects was
the slower pace of the new season. Kick back and relax. Don't overthink
it. Be comfortable and enjoy the little things that summer brings!

Making a quick stop for ice cream, because it still feels like a holiday
and ice cream is always a good idea. Who's with me? What's your favorite flavor?

Kicking off the holiday weekend with a day by the pool. Stay safe. Stay cool. And enjoy a few days with friends and family!

Is anyone else still trying to detox from loads of chips and guac
from Cinco de Mayo? I think the celebrations should just keep going throughout the summer. Throw on some festive earrings, a pair of killer shoes and tackle the weekend head-on with the end goal being more chips & guac!

There's nothing more classic and crisp than a fresh blue and white
look for summer. Whether it's a great pair of white jeans and a cute blue blouse or an easy linen dress, this is the look for summer. It's light and cool for those blazing hot summer days ahead! Grab an iced coffee & shop my top picks for this killer combo:

What is it about emerald green paired with turquoise that screams
summer in the south? It's such a classic color combination that can translate from everyday to a fancy summer wedding. Give it a try!

Not only does it feel like spring, today it actually feels like a taste of
summer. It has me dreaming of all things tropical, trading my signature black pieces for pops of white, and grabbing all things pink. This is basically what is swirling through my mind right now...

Who wants a sneak preview of the 2018 Planner? I couldn't resist not sharing these four friends hitting the beach for one last hoorah before fall is ushered in. These will be the June calendar girls, so look forward to seeing them 06/18! Happy weekend!

Summer is slowly coming to a close, but there's still plenty of time to soak up the sun and enjoy the longest days of the year. One thing I've always
wanted to do that technically could be done any time of year is go to a beach where you can feed flamingos. Aruba seems to be the hot spot for this, so I envision it looking something like this...

Kicking off a new week with a pop of color! Matching sets have been a huge trend in the past few seasons and they're not going anywhere. For fall, pick
up a pair of wide leg trousers with a matching swing top. Can you imagine how sleek this would be in a camel color? Dying at the thought of it.

If there's one thing I spend money on, it's accessories. Everything from
watches, sunglasses, bags, etc. etc... that's where my money goes. My wardrobe is pretty basic (black, white and grey is my color palette), and I mix it up with fun accessories (mostly in the same colors). I never leave home without a good pair of shades, so Quay
has become my new best friend. (Consider this an unsponsored post; I'm just a huge advocate for the brand). They are highly durable, affordable, and on-trend. With the attainable price point, you can go for something on the trendy side without breaking the bank. My summer go-to has been the mirrored aviators
. While I have an extensive collection of Ray-Bans in the same shape, the Quay version
is lighter on my face which makes for better long-term wear.
While I opted for the silver
, this shape is available in multiple colors. Shop
