What's your reason? Our new wine tags are the perfect accessory to a hostess, housewarming, or birthday gift. Grab one of each to keep on hand for those last minute gatherings. Easter Table

Easter table, Brittany Fuson, fashion illustration, bandanas
Easter is a mere two weeks away and I couldn't help but set a festive table filled with punchy colors, fresh flowers, and of course, candy. Tulips are a great option for this time of year, but don't buy them too far in advance as they don't live long. I love sticking just a few accent colors and incorporating them into every aspect of the decor.

We used the bandanas as napkins draping them over the side of the table, but also love them rolled in the plate like the first picture. The table runner is a great anchor for the table layered with a palm placemat (from Hester & Cook). We tried the plate several different ways swapping out the yellow DIY chicks with gold eggs, neutral grass and the Easter candy hero: Reese's eggs.

Love One Another

Blair, Orca cups, notecards, get well soon, soup, food & drink, fashion illustration, Brittany Fuson

This past weekend, I decided to have a Sunday well spent loving people. Unfortunately, cold season is upon us. So, whether it's a friend who's under the weather or one who's simply down in the dumps, show them you care by dropping off a hot cup of soup. Let's be serious, is there anything better in the fall than butternut squash soup? Our Orca tumblers are the perfect complement to hot soup as they will keep it warm for hours on end (shop them here).

Here's your friendly reminder to spread love, be love, and allow yourself to be loved!

I used the "Blair" notecards to add a tag to the happy delivery (shop them here).

Fall Cups

With a new season comes a new wardrobe. Why shouldn't that also translate to your morning coffee cup? It's hard to think about cozying up with a hot Pumpkin Spiced Latte in a summer-inspired cup. So, without further ado, I'd like to introduce you to Blair, Serena and Lily, our fall girls.
Not only are our 27 oz. insulated tumblers ideal for keeping your morning coffee hot for hours, they're also great for keeping a cup of soup warm until lunch or icing down your
favorite tailgate drink. Do I even need to elaborate on how they're the perfect gift? Fill one to the brim with candy corn (bonus points if you mix it with dry roasted peanuts for
the perfect fall blend), arrange freshly picked flowers for a friend in need of a pick-me-up, or grab that must-read book everyone is talking about and tie a bow around it. Consider
this your pat on the back because you just nailed the fall gifting game.

What is it about summer that has me craving sweet treats and fun trips to the bakery? Wishing everyone a sweet weekend!

What is it about a freshly cut watermelon paired with the color yellow? It's the most complimentary color combo and oozes that cheerful feel of summer. Eat up!

After a weekend spent catching up on household chores and spending Sunday resting, it's time to get moving again! Sometimes a candy-colored outfit is just what you need to get back into the groove of work. Not only is this a bright way to kick off the week, but this look complements our new tumblers that launched last week. I came across these rainbow colored reusable straws that are the perfect addition to the cups! Drink pretty :)

They're back!

I'm thrilled to reintroduce the Orca tumblers. For this batch I was inspired by long days at the beach, sunny days by the pool and the vibrant colors of summer. The three new designs exude that easy breezy feeling of the season. Fill one up with your favorite icy beverage to stay hydrated through the day. Don't worry... we brought back the first three designs as well.

Tumblers are here!

It's what you've been asking for. It's what I've been sourcing for just as long.
It's the day I've been planning for what seems like months...
I've dabbled in disposable cups in the past, but I always wanted to create
something reusable and more environmentally friendly. Whenever I leave
the house, I have some sort of water bottle or cup with me, so it was a natural
fit from the beginning. What took so long was finding the right source to create
them for me. The printing needed to be perfect. The cups needed to be stellar
quality, and I really wanted something produced in the US. Not only did I find
a source within the US, I found a company, Orca Coolers, that stands by their
products and prints them in my home state of Tennessee. So, from start to finish,
I'm ecstatic to say that our cups are designed and printed in TN!

There's something about both this pastel pink and a deep
hunter green that I'm loving this season. It's an extra festive choice that's not red, though I do tend to wear more red this month in general (why not?). If you have fancy parties to attend, think of the three texture trends this season... velvet, fur, and sparkly sequins. If your outfit has one of the above, your sure to be the belle of the ball. Cheers!

Gifts for the Master Chef

You know the one, the one that's always hosting the most
fabulous dinner parties who somehow manages to execute a perfectly curated menu stress free. Don't forget, you can always see the entire gift guide on the 2017 Gift Guide page
1) Bar Cart book (bar cart styling can be so tricky)
2) Le Creuset mini round cocotte (perfect for a baked brie appetizer)
3) cheese knives set (more marble, yes please)
4) Vitamix (for the serious cook or workout guru)
5) glass beaker (perfect for a side of veggies... I would also serve a great dip in this)
6) Pipcorn (I'll never tire of this yummy mini popcorn... Kettle corn is my favorite flavor, though you really can't go wrong with any of them)
7) recipe cards (make a batch of cookies for the neighbors and include the recipe on top!)
8) Eataly book (because everyone, including everyone, loves Italian food)
9) silicon sponge (this thing is a miracle... I use it on all my dishes but am tempted to grab another one because it can also double as a lint remover)
10) chef's knife (on my list this year, wink wink)
11) sea salt caramels (can there be a better combo?)
12) elephant corkscrew (love the quirkiness)
13) pizza stone (more Italian, please)
On her:
gingerbread house kit (what a fun activity this time of year, also an unexpected hostess gift)

Be a Gracious Guest

yesterday. Today, let's go over a little bit of etiquette. First things first, do not show up empty handed if you're over the age of 22. If you're in high school or home from college, you get a pass on this one. Anyone out of college and living on their own should have the good graces to bring something. Anything will do. You can buy it. You don't have to make it from scratch.
But by all means, bring something. Secondly, if you're going to a friendly gathering, a distant relative's house, or trying to make a great first impression on your significant other's family, bring a hostess gift. This should be a given, but it is so commonly overlooked. Pick up a pretty bouquet of fresh flowers, grab a candle at a local gift shop, or pick out a nice bottle of wine. But, again, don't show up without something for the host(s).
Lastly, the things that should be unspoken but we might need a  friendly reminder of as we enter into the holiday season: don't be that guest that's over served. Take it slow. Thanksgiving especially is a long day. You have to make it to dinner time. Don't be on your phone the whole time. Be present. And most importantly, be comfortable! When you wear something that you're not comfortable in you will most likely be fidgety the entire time.
You got this!

Cheers, y'all. Is it Friday yet?
NYFW kicked off this week and I've been pouring through the images from the shows (and from instagram) trying to round up  the latest trends. Not only are the designers showing Spring 2018,  but the bloggers and tastemakers will be sporting the biggest trends of Fall 2017. We need to be paying attention! I'm taking notes and will report back. Meanwhile, where's the wine? Martini? Some sort of fruity drink? Anything will do at this point...
This cute girl will be showing up on a few new products this fall, but we're starting with an immediate launch of notecards.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas from me to you!
When it comes to designing Christmas cards, doing your own is the hardest task each year. I always love including a recipe on the back, and with the loss of my grandfather this year, it was an obvious choice to include his famous pancakes. Enjoy!

Peppermint Hot Chocolate

You absolutely cannot beat a cup of peppermint hot chocolate at Christmas time. It's so seasonal, it keeps you warm on those chilly nights, and is even better when sipped by the fireside (and Christmas tree). Williams Sonoma has the best. Bonus points if you sip it out of a brand new BFP cup (get one here before they sell out)!

Consider this my auto-reply... social media might make it appear like I'm working around the clock, but today marks my last day in the office until 2017! I'm stepping away to spend time with family doing Christmas things. I hope you do the same!
