Moving Announcement

This year has brought so much change in a good way. I recently moved... well it was two months ago, but I finally found the time to do what I've been wanting to do which is to send out a moving announcement! Just in time for people to start making their list of addresses for Christmas cards :)
Email me to chat about a custom moving announcement:

The Scout Guide Nashville, volume 6

When features fall into place organically, they end up being the
best partnerships. I was thrilled when the team at The Scout Guide
Nashville reached out wanting to include one of my illustrations in the
latest edition. See the guide below. I was also pleasantly surprised to also
see my notecards included in the You're Invited feature in TSG. You can
shop locally in Nashville at You're Invited for all your party needs!

How gorgeous is not only the latest TSG, but also this new coffee table book? Cast is the perfect addition to my extensive coffee table book collection. I love not only the contents of the book, but the stunning cover. It makes my neutral-loving heart beat wild. Pick up a copy of Cast here

January 20, 2017

Even though it's January, it's felt more like April lately. Crop tops are totally acceptable, right?  I can't help but think this girl looks like Danielle from this season of The Bachelor, who I'm a fan of. I hope she sticks around!

Christmas Village 2016

image via The Tennessean
Christmas Village is a yearly event I've been happy to participate in for the past six years, this year makes seven. Before I was ever an exhibitor, I was a loyal shopper. It's a fun way to kick off the Christmas season that my mom and I never miss! I've also had the privilege of creating a brand image for the event each year. Our Village girl has changed over the years, but I'm happy to
debut the 2016 girl...
Come see us tomorrow - Sunday. The show hours are listed below and you can grab tickets here
Thursday (special Sneak Peak passes required, though they
are sold out this year): 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Friday: 9:00 am - 9:00 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
Sunday: 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Hope to see you there!

Hey Cowboy

As a native and local Nashvillian, let me be the first to welcome you if you're makingthe trip here for CMA Fest this week! It's an event I try to avoid year after year, but thisyear I've decided to embrace the chaos. As much as I complain about the amount of people downtown, it's a fun week and truly shows Nashville at it's finest. Dress for hot hot weather and don't be afraid to wear cowboy boots, though I would leave the cowboy hat at home. They're an instant give-away that you're a tourist.
If you're looking for things to do, I love this Guide to Nashville. It hassome great tips for making the most of your trip here.

See you Friday?

May 27, 2016

I recently decided to bring the BFP signature look to life by getting lash extensions. It's something I've wanted to do for a while, but was waiting to find someone I could trust and someone whose work was flawless. That led me to my girl, Abby. If you're in the Nashville
area, go see her! She's the best.
(615. 370. 7041 x 206)
I'm already obsessed with them and can't imagine NOT having them at this point. They're perfectfor summer when I wear less makeup (because it's so blazing hot). They make you feel put together without having to wear a full face of makeup.
Lash extensions or not, everyone needs to buy this Bottom Lash Mascara by Clinique. It's genius! It gets all those little lashes and makes your eyes truly pop. Ten bucks well spent.
If you're not ready to take the plunge into lash extensions, try some of my favorite mascaras below. I was a Lancome Definicils user for years and recently made the switch to Dior Show
Both are great for length and volume.
Side note: if you have lash extensions, no mascara is needed. It takes one step out of my
daily routine which is always a plus!

Nashville Symphony Fashion Show 2016

So, Carolina was everything I had hoped it would be and more! The collection was flowy and beautiful while still managing to look effortless. See the full collection here (this look was everything). While my photos turned out less than mediocre, see below....

Nashville Symphony Fashion Show

Counting down the hours to tonight's show with Carolina Herrera, yes, THE Carolina Herrera. The Nashville Symphony Fashion Show is one of my favorite events of the year. With a different designer each year, it's an elegant showcase of Spring's finest fashion in the most beautiful setting. Tonight should be no exception. I cannot wait to see Mrs. Herrera's collection in person.

Iroquois Steeplechase

Each year, I proudly partner with the team at Steeplechase to create an invitation for their pre-race-day luncheon. I've been doing it for a few years now and always look forward to creating a design highlighting their child ambassador for the event. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the event, and I can't wait to attend in May.

Draper James

When Reese Witherspoon announced her first brick & mortar store in (my and) her hometown of Nashville, this town turned upside down in excitement. Draper James is southern to its core with playful patterns, bright punches of color, simple silhouettes - and that's just the clothes. The store itself is truly a sight to see. I would move in at the drop of a hat. It's beautiful, light & airy but also homey. If you're ever in the area, you must stop by for a visit (take a photo tour of the store here). They just opened a Sprinkles next-door, so grab a cupcake on your way out!
I am majorly crushing on this print that Draper James posted it on instagram. It's a sign that spring is near! It's available in a romper, a blouse, and a skirt. Dare I say it, I think the romper is such a great (and somewhat unexpected) choice for a summer wedding.
