Sometimes, it takes a round of Fashion Week shows to see what the street style 

stars are wearing to determine the true trends for the new season. The trends were, in a sense, chosen 6 months ago at the February shows. But it's up to the taste-makers to set the trends from there, to pave the way for the rest of us. They've set the tone for fall by investing in trends that weren't necessarily supposed to be big, but you better believe they will be now. We covered bomber jackets, mini bags, bell sleeves, sneakers & slides, and cropped flares. This week, let's cover 5 additional trends you need to invest in for the new season.

Let's start with accordion pleats. They're being shown in a new way: the accordion pleat midi skirt. Street style stars are wearing it with Stan Smiths or in a dressed-up and possibly more lady-like way with pointed pumps and a feminine blouse. The common denominator? Metallic. Yes, metallic accordion pleat midi skirts are everywhere.
