Color Me
I recently came across the color queen, Courtney Quinn, on instagram and instantly recognized her from this Microsoft commercial. Her cheerful outfits and cool color combos are just what my feed needs for a fresh batch of inspiration. I loved this post she did about summer swimwear including picks for all sizes and body shapes. We need more Courtneys in the world who are spreading body-positive vibes and brightening the repetitive reel of social media. See more of Courtney's posts on instagram and check out her blog here. You can also see this illustration come to life in here.

Sunshine
While I've never been a huge yellow person, it is bringing me life right
now. Seriously, is there a happier color? It's brightening up the dreary, rainy April days making me long for summer. I love these tie-waist trousers paired with another trend of the season, polka dots. Get the look below...

Red Barnes
When Kathleen of Carrie Bradshaw Lied posted this look,
it made me stop in my tracks. A red cape-like piece that's casual enough to wear with jeans but could also be a real statement at a cocktail party when paired with something dressier. Gasp. I love it!

Mallory
There are more bloggers and influencers than we can keep up
with these days. In an oversaturated market, I'm always taking a mental inventory of whose stories I love watching, whose photos I throw a like to, and who makes me feel better (or more entertained) for following them. One of these gals is Mallory Ervin. Though I don't know her personally, her stories are always entertaining. More than that, she has such a positive aura about her that I literally find myself going, how is she so happy all the time? I need more of that in my life. Not only is she a bright spot in the self-indulgent world we live in, she's killing it in the maternity style department. Her go-tos have been noticeable, things I would wear today not being pregnant. With an endless supply of Madeworn tees and Gucci slides, she's making maternity less "maternity". It's the cool girl, downtown vibe that I love.

Drybar x BFP
I loved working with Drybar a while back on a blogger mailer with some of their new products. We created custom illustrations for all the heavy hitters including Leandra (aka, the Man Repeller), Aimee Song, Kimberley over @eatsleepwear, etc. etc. Below are a few of my favorites:

Spring, apparently, has arrived two months early! While I'm not complaining, I would give anything for one more good snow. If not, let's go ahead and move on to the 70 degree weather. These dreary days of 50s and 60s are killing me. Anyone with me? So one of the biggest questions I've been debating is do I get the bag everyone is raving about right now or not? It's not super expensive, but
completely impractical for this cross body loyal. Fashion over function, or wait until there's a hybrid of the two? I die for the shape of this bag, though. It's really that good.

Kendra Scott x Brittany Fuson 1.26.17

I was thrilled to team up with the Nashville Kendra Scott store and Brooke of KB Styled for a fun event celebrating and bringing awareness to women's heart healthy and the American Heart Association. See pics from the event where live illustrating was done by yours truly, live music was playing in the background, and heart healthy snacks were served.
Thank you to the Kendra Scott team for having me!

Sister Sister
When bloggers descend upon New York for Fashion Week, my eyes are glued to instagram for the street style shots. Rachel Parcell and Emily Jackson stepped out in coordinating long coats with jeans and made a true statement. I couldn't wait to put pen to paper to bring their looks to live in the BFP voice.

Drybar, take 3
More from the most sought-after bar right now, Drybar.I worked with them on a new product launch a while back, and here are three of the influencers that received not only some serious Drybar swag, but also a custom illustration by yours truly! They are all sporting various Drybar staples like the Buttercup
hair dryer, the High Top velcro rollers, the 3 Day Bender (for those perfect beach waves), a Full Pint medium round brush to smooth your freshly dried locks, but also my favorite product right now, Triple Sec. It's a texturizing spray that gives your hair serious volume. Literally. Use. It. Everyday. Trust me, those celebs with the messy but chic hair are using a texturizing spray to get the look
(or their glam squads are). They also have a new Baby Buttercup hair dryer that's perfect for traveling (hint, think Christmas gifts, perfect for the girl on the go) and a silk pillowcase. I sleep on one every night and it helps keep your hair fresh! I love it.

Court
The now famous half-up top knot, I'm a fan. Nobody does it better than Courtney Kerr. Once this illustration was complete, I couldn't help but think it's a dead-ringer for Courtney herself.

Musings
I love this effortless look by Thamarr of Musings of a Curvy Lady. I had the privilege of meeting her at a NYFW event last September, and she's an absolute doll in person, too. Black & white gingham paired with straw accessories equals the perfect summer look.

The Rachel Parcell Collection
I was thrilled when Rachel Parcell reached out to ask if I would team up with her for the launch of her first clothing line. Of course I said yes, and this is what we came up with: a lookalike of Rach herself wearing the RP Classic Dress in Floral Bloom.

The collection is full of classic silhouettes with flirty and feminine details in pretty pinks and neutrals. The black-wearing person that I am was immediately drawn to the Everyday Dress. I think I will wear this, for lack of a better word, everyday. With an upcoming beach trip, I can't wait to wear it late afternoon where you've been at the beach all day and just want to run in and throw something easy on to walk around before dinner. Take me there now!

Jacq
I'm thrilled to share a custom project I did for Tiffany of Blog Called Jacq. We created this illustration from one of her favorite photos taken with her beloved pooch...
If you don't follow her, you should.

Yael
Fashion Week is here (or has been here for a few days) and it's flying by. I haven't even had a chance to pour over the images from the latest collections to pick out my favorite emerging trends. Stay tuned... hopefully I'll find time over the next week to see what's going to be huge for Fall 2016. In the meantime, I teamed up with blogger Yael Steren to showcase her first look of NYFW.
